I Need to Lose 20lbs in 30 Days!
5 fail proof ways to lose weight
Losing weight doesn't have to be a huge chore, in fact, I believe that it can be fun and the rewards are defiantly worth reaping! If you follow these five simple rules you will be on your way to a leaner, healthier and more attractive body.
1) Be Positive! You will never, ever lose weight if you don't believe in yourself. If you constantly feel overwhelmed and throw pity parties for yourself because of your weight, no change will ever come to you. Surround yourself with inspiration: motivational quotes, and photos of those who inspire you. Also consider changing your computer passwords to messages such as "icareaboutme". Remind yourself everyday of your goals and make the process fun, not grueling!
2) Log in. Keep track of your weight from week to week. This will help to show you your progress and catch any flaws in your diet. You will also see how quickly 2-3 pounds adds up over time. If you lose just 2 lbs. a week for two months that is a total of 16 pounds! Set your goal in smaller increments such as 2, 5 or 10 pounds. Its much easier to face a smaller goal rather than a larger one that may seem impossible.
3) Set other goals. Don't just focus on losing weight to be more attractive, instead think of other ways that weight loss will benefit your life. Whatever you choose the payoff has to be worth the hard work. You are worth the hard work!
4) Hang your photos. Take a "before" photo of yourself and also progress photos. Keep these around so that you can watch your progress and see how far you've come. You'll be less tempted to gain weight when you see your progress.
5) Take a break. Instead of focusing on being perfect with your diet and exercise, consider giving yourself a once a week break. This break should taken once a week, to satisfy your cravings. The freedom of a "day off" will keep you sane and will make it easier to stick with long term. I followed the day off diet program which provided me with a plan that would allow me to "cheat" once a week and still lose weight.
Lucinda recommends the day off diet for a sane way to lose weight. She also recommends increasing your strength with burn the fat feed the muscle. For every pound of muscle you gain, you will burn 50 calories. You will look lean, not bulky!
